The Two Bananas

Last few weeks, we had our lunch together in 'The Two Bananas". It's just a few minutes drive away from our faculty.

It offers a great variety of food and drinks prepared with banana.

At the far left is its banana beverage. For those who likes banana, this is a must to try on.

Recommended Banana chicken rice. Mm... For me, it's not that special.

My friend's orange chicken rice. I like it but my friend kept complaining it's too bad.. Well, things can be quite subjective at time ;>

My 'Special Fried Rice'... I think this was the nicest among all! Or maybe it was because i was craving for fried rice last few weeks? ha...

Mooncake Festival is coming!!

Mooncake festival is just around the corner. In fact, there are just 2 more days from today! Dear dear sent me this cute little lantern for it. It's a Pooh's little lantern with music that need to be blown up manually. Ha, the night after my on-call, i found a parcel on my table and it was this little lantern from dear dear. As i was too tired, i fell asleep straight away after i blew it up. It's so cute that i like it so much!!! Thanks dear dear! Happy Mooncake festival!

FINISH EXAM (2)

After a week of waiting, finally the post mortem of the final O&G exam is held, today. To cut the story short, it was a shock, as the coordinator did not announce our results one by one..because she is very disappointed with our results. Although all of us pass the MEQ (1 obs, 1 gynae), there is 25% failure in MCQ. Thw worst thing is, 33% failure in clinical (9 of them fail both obs and gynae short cases and 7 fail 1 short case in either obs or gynae make a total of 16 out of 48). Thus, in the end of the session, the coordonator did not announce the results one by one but just want to see 3 students, who has not doin really well.:( But however, we are very piah you see..most of us see the coordinator again to get our exact results, actually to see if we fail clinical exam coz most of us do badly in clinical exam. Guess what, i pass all, the mcq, meq, and both clinical short cases:). Thanks Lord. And thanks so much dear for praying so hard for me. It is you who held me to go through all this hardness, i really thought i fail my obs short case but thank you for giving me such a hope that i can still survive:(

Pandan Beach

About 20 minutes from Gunung Gading National Park, you'll reach one of the beautiful beach in Lundu--- Pandan Beach!!

From the hut by the seaside, a tranquil sea embracing quite a number of families....

The picturesque view of the beach....

Another end of the beach that's full of rocks...

The muscular sandman.... Haha...

Gunung Gading National Park

After my paediatrics exam last week, i spent a superb weekend in Gunung Gading National Park! Just in case you don't know where it is, it is at the South Borneo, a place called Lundu in Sarawak. Reached there early in the morning in our 'little Black', the name of our Savvy my sister-in law gave, we were fortunate enough to get a room as the rest of them were all fully booked!!

Corridor leading into our room... For your information, the room was only RM40 with 2 double-decker in it!! Surprising right? it's cheap. and at the far end, there were well-equipped kitchen and dining table for you. (In fact, we bought some fresh seafood in the town which was only about 10 minutes away and made our dinner here.)

Yes, this was our room, Room 2!!!

Posing with my sister-in law on the double-decker :>

We were lucky enough to find 2 full- bloomed Rafflesia, the world's largest flower though August is not the season for it (the blooming season is from November to January).

A closer look at it, for me, it looked like pizza! ;>

Its interior look....

From the superior posterolateral of it.... Its flower bud was just like a cabbage. And the blooming period for each flower is only 7 days...

Luckily to have seen this once in a blue moon flower, we climbed up the cliff!! To the right of me were 2 of the "cabbages" awaiting for blooming after their 9-month nurturing.

We ordered ourselves some crabs and other type of seafood in Lundu town for our lunch as it is a popular place for seafood :>

FINISH EXAM!!!!

I have finished my o&g exam... it was a terrible exam. Everyone panic throughout the clinical exam days wondering how their examiners want them to perform. Some are ok, many are disappointed. almost 80% thought they have failed at least 1 short case (either gynae or obs). But however, the final results depend on the post mortem which will be held someday the next week. Here, let me share share the short cases for obs which us, students here get for exam. We hav multiple pregnancies (which i get), abnormal lie, breech presentation, and hyperemesis gravidarum (ya!!this is gynae case yet our prof (Prof Emeritus Dr. Adeeb) gave this case s obs exam). For gynae short cases, abd masses, hyperem, miscarriages, and normal abd with no masses or anything (which i get!!). Thus, for gynae, my pat has no mass per abd, and the prof create some scenario for me to see how i answer them. Hm...for further elaboration, pls refer to ur gynae and obs books :)
Well...in the end..im not sad. jus hope for the best.
